Lamu

Photography Project - 4 weeks

Lamu is a coastal UNESCO world heritage site situated in Kenya, East Africa.

In April 2019, I had the chance to visit the atmospheric town, where the local people still practiced handmade crafts and the only mode of transport in town is by donkey.

For a university photography project, I used coloured film to capture the timeless feeling of the old culture and heritage one would experience when visiting. A recent Conde Nast article about Lamu was published at the time, so I created my own photographic article using the images I had captured which can been seen below.
